Every school day morning, I pray over our children before they leave the house. In my daily prayer, I've noticed a similar pattern of words with each prayer I pray. When it comes to our children, I ask God to help them each day with:

  • Making the right kind of friends
  • Making wise decisions and good grades
  • Returning each child home safely.

The challenges our children, and children in general face with their development coupled with the confusion society places upon youth when it comes to their identity, social  media platforms, and much more, requires every prayer we can surrender to God concerning welfare of every child. If you have children, I encourage you to set aside time each day to pray over them before they step outside of the home. Believe me, every prayer helps them with navigating ungodly confusion they are bombarded with daily.

Everytime you pray over your child/children I challenge you to remember the words of David Platt and Abigail Dodds:

"The ultimate goal of parenting is not worldly success, but for children to love a great God." David Platt

"Merely sheltering children without equipping them in wisdom leaves them naive and unable to navigate evil." Abigail Dodds
