I'm still amazed at how often God speaks to us through someone else's words. My wife and I watched Elevation Worship this past Sunday. While listening to Pastor Steven Furtick preach, I was floored by how clearly his sermon spoke to and confirmed the ministry-related projects I've been working on. I've been planning and preparing for a God-led agenda that will require quite a bit of money, but nonetheless, I keep working as if the money is already there and available, when in truth it's not. Throughout my pastoral tenure, I've learned that God often expects us to act in the present as though the future already is. That's what we call faith. There are certain things in life we must will into existence.
What projects are you working on? Has God given you an agenda you know you do not currently have the resources to fully fund? If your answer to my questions is yes, I encourage you to speak it and believe it into existence. Act as if you already have what you need, and trust God for the outcomes.
As the famous proverb goes, "Pray as if everything depends on God, act as if everything depends on you."
