Tread Lightly

My family and I do a Secret Santa each Christmas. Everyone has received the name of the person they are to give a Christmas gift to this year. It's such a beautiful time of the year. 

No matter how bright the Christmas season is, I try not to forget that some are simply trying to survive the holidays. Becky Hemsley describes their survival as like carefully walking over a frozen lake or an icy pond. If that's you today, then here's a poem written by Becky reminding you to tread lightly: 

You know how gently you have to

tread when you're walking over a

frozen lake or an icy pond? 

Well, sometimes you have to walk 

that way through life for a while too.

Yes,

when you feel as if you 

might fall at any moment,

it's ok to tread lightly my love.
