We are believing God for a lot this year. One big piece I'm trusting God for is not only to fully restore, but to exceed that restoration, well beyond where we operated as a nonprofit ministry pre-pandemic. Believe it or not, the vast majority of churches, nonprofits, and some for-profit businesses/organizations have yet to return to, or even exceed, pre-pandemic levels numerically and/or financially. A famous quote among businesses, organizations, and faith-based institutions is, "The pandemic changed things forever." As a result of those changes, many of us are still playing catch-up in a game whose rules have changed completely. As the old saying goes, "It is what it is."

What do we do about our new reality?

Do we give up?

Do we pitch a pity party?

Do we roll up our sleeves and work even harder?

The vast majority of those I communicate with are rolling up their sleeves and working harder. It's OK to cry, and for a brief moment, feel sorry about your condition. But it's not OK to live there. Don't bury yourself in your pain. Instead, trust God to direct your path as He opens doors that have been nailed shut and raises windows from which an overflow of blessings comes.

I close today's Discipleship Devotional with a special request to my many subscribers. Many have been blessed by your involvement in the ministries God has given us to conduct over the past few years. Ministries like:

  • GriefShare
  • DivorceCare
  • Premarital Counseling
  • 'Conflict Resolution/Conflict Management
  • Parenting Education
  • Grief Counseling
  • Prayer Groups
  • Empowerment Conferences and more

Throughout this calendar year (2026), our church and nonprofit ministry will launch a series of fundraising campaigns. When you receive our appeal for prayerful and financial support, we trust that you will respond favorably. We are trusting God to make 2026 and beyond our time for full restoration, and we need your help to make it a reality.

We have an ambitious 2026 budget ($100,000.00+), and we aim to fully fund it. If you would like to start with a tax-deductible sacrificial gift of any amount, please do so.
