"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Mr," Says the LORD Isaiah 54:17

What happens when you feel like you don't have anything left to give, and there's little to no return on your time and investments? When you feel this way, don't think you are alone because there's always company. I've worked in pastoral ministry and as a Christian counselor for twenty-four (24) years. I often find myself going over-and-above when it comes to doing for others, and making sure people have what they need, and there are times when I see little to no return. Thank God I don't do what I do for the purpose of getting something back. If I did, I would have stopped working in ministry a long time ago. I do what I do because I love serving others, especially when it comes to educating and empowering people to live healthy and productive lives.

If you feel like you're running on spiritual fumes and your breakthrough appears to be out of your grasp, I want to empower you by helping you answer the below questions:

  1. What matters most when you feel like quitting?
  2. Who do you turn to when your options are few?
  3. Who do you lean on when you're to week to stand on your own?

Lets start by answering the above questions with a quote from C. S. Lewis who said, "God knows our situation; He will not judge us as if we had no difficulties to overcome. What matters is the sincerity and perserverance of our will to overcome them."

What matters most is:

  • Your refusal to quit.
  • Your determination to continue looking to God when options are few.
  • And your confidence that God will hold you up when you can't stand on your own.

Your refusal. Your determination. Your confidence will always make the difference.

Remember, "Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them." Take your questions to God in prayer, and when you feel like you cannot stand, remember the words of Charles Spurgeon who said, "When you cannot trace God's hand, trust His heart."
