Handling winter weather storms in the south is, to say the least, challenging. For some strange reason, many people think they can drive as if the roads are dry when they're sheeted with ice and covered with snow. As the winter storm approaches, I continue to prepare my family and home for what's to come, because when it arrives, we will be hibernating at home until the storms pass and the roads return to normal.

While making certain preparations yesterday, I thought about how they reminded me of the spiritual preparations we make daily as we prepare for and engage in spiritual warfare. We shouldn't wait until spiritual attacks take place before we start preparing for spiritual battle. We should prepare daily through prayer, Bible study, and putting our faith into action.

As you prepare for winter weather storms, are you also spiritually prepared for battle?

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:10-12
