This morning, I looked up the definition of character matters, and this is what I found: "An individual's integrity influences decision-making and shapes interactions, ultimately fostering a better, more ethical society. It serves as the foundation for effective, authentic leadership and personal success, emphasizing virtues like humility, accountability, and compassion."
No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes, so I'm not expecting perfection from anyone, but I ask that each of us do our part by demonstrating what good character looks like. May each of our thoughts, feelings, and actions help build trust rather than tear it down, and may our character be evident in and through acts of courage and self-discipline.
Remember the words of Michael Josephson: "Character is the moral strength to do the right thing even when it costs more than you want to pay."
