“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.”

Proverbs 17:17

Do you have a BFF (Best Friend Forever)? Are there people in your life whom you know you can call, or who can contact you during early morning hours and receive an answer? We all need at least one BFF in our lives whom we can trust to help us during the most challenging times. Personally, I am thankful to God for being blessed with friends and family I can always count on. My go-to list may not be long, but when you think about it, whose is? But I, like many others, do have someone I can call my friend. I hope and pray you, too, can say the same. If not, I encourage you to do something about it, as it's never too late to find someone you can prayerfully call your friend.

Eleanor Roosevelt has been credited with saying, "Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart." Today would be a good day to thank that friend who, for years, has been leaving footprints in your heart. I say that because true friends are hard to find, so if you have one, please don't take the relationship for granted. Remember, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

As you prepare for what life has in store for you today, carry this Discipleship Devotional along with the powerful words of Laura Ortiz in your spirit, heart, and mind. Laura said, "To be honest with you, I don't have the words to make you feel better, but I do have the arms to give you a hug, ears to listen to whatever you want to talk about, and I have a heart; a heart that's aching to see you smile again."
