The month of May will mark the kickoff of our YouTube teaching series, which will cover a range of faith-based and Christ-centered topics. I will soon announce the official start date/time in the coming days. We will continue to do what we do: meet people where they are and help them find their own path to healing and restoration.
Our Discipleship Devotional goes out to nearly 400 recipients daily. With that in mind, the Holy Spirit deposited an idea in my spirit: why not ask my readers to share topics they believe need to be discussed? I welcome your ideas and invite you to share them with me by completing the Contact Us form on our website. While you are sharing, I would like you to tell me some of your story. My reason for this request is that I've often found the topics near and dear to our hearts were born of life experiences. For example, my relatives and friends all know that Brenda's (my deceased wife) death poured gasoline on a spiritual flame that was already burning in my spirit. I would love to know about the gasoline (experience) that was poured on the flame in your spirit.
Out of all scriptures in the Bible, II Corinthians 1:3-4 is without question my favorite: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in an affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
We all have experienced significant loss in one way or another. As my seminary professor often said, "Christianity is a free gift, but discipleship costs something." What has discipleship cost you? I would love to read your story. If you are not camera-shy and open to sharing your story, I would love to have you as a special guest on our YouTube channel.
What's your story?
