"The Chicago Way - Don't Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight"

What does this American folklore and Western gun culture phrase have to do with being a Christian? The answer to this question depends on your answer to my next question: 

When engaged in spiritual warfare, are you fully armored? 

If you are not fully armored, then you are bringing a spiritual knife to a spiritual gun fight. Yesterday, I stated that many people are working harder and earning less. In addition, I gave attention to the fact that many of today's graduating classes of adults and college-age students are in the middle of a rising trend; many are either living with their parents or living with roomates to help survive an economy where the rich get richer and the poor/working class get poorer. What you are experiencing is real and not to be taken lightly. 

I not only see today's societal challenges as a secular problem, but as spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare that's placing many individuals and/or families less than one paycheck from homelessness. Spiritual warfare that leaves many people feeling like their present reality will not change and they will never experience the American Dream. Spiritual warfare that leaves many Christians phycially, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually exhaused. Satantic attacks are real and you better believe Satan is not bringing a knife to a gun fight. "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour>" 1 Peter 5:8 

My series entitled, "The Chicago Way - Don't Bring a Knife to a Gun Fight" is going to make sure you are fully armored spiritually and ready for battle.  This six-piece series will result in you being fully armored by God.

Being fully armored spiritually will protect your non-negotiables, mute the outside noise, and equip you to respond not react to external demands and challenges. You will be able to think outside the box and stretch your comfort zone as you explore new territories and turn your dreams into a reality.
