Let's continue the How Life Make Me _________ series with the word CONTENT. How Life Makes Me CONTENT. Being content says that you are satisfied with life regardless of the circumstances you experience:

Good or Bad,

Right or Wrong

Happy or Sad

Rich or Poor

Having Plent or Being in Need

Regardless of the conditions, you are able to find a place of satisfaction. To further explain, let's define the word CONTENT in three different ways:

Adjective: Being content is a state of peaceful happiness.

Verb: Being content satisfies.

Noun: Being content is a state of satisfaction.

When I link the above, I personally define the word content as being satisfied and peacefully happy with life even when life doesn't always go the way in which I hope for and/or plan. One of my favorite bible verses is Philippians 4:11-13, where Paul says, "I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength".

How can a person be content in poverty? 

How can a person be content in times of fear?

How can a person be content in times of sadness? 

This is possible because being content isn't based upon outward conditions. Beiing content is an extension of joy and joy is has never been and will never be based upon external conditions and/or satifactions. Joy is spiritual and can only be experienced in and through a relationship with God resulting in the ability to experience peace during the most difficult situations.

As you prepare for what life presents you with today, remember, contentment is a learning experience and in your learning, you can experience contentment in any situation.
